From childhood memories at LeRoux's Billyle Supper Club in Toledo (owned by his childhood next-door neighbors Bernie and Lyle) to a lifelong dream of restoring a historic building, William’s passion for hospitality has always been part of his story. After retiring from his consulting firm, he chose not to fade quietly into the night—but to combine his passions and bring new life to 54 S. Monroe Street.
54South Restaurant and Lounge is his way of honoring Monroe’s history while helping shape its renaissance—an elegant space for dining, conversation, and community in the heart of Downtown Monroe's Social District.

Chef Sarah “Mac” brings world class training and artistry to Monroe. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate with experience at The Ritz Carlton and The Fifth Floor in San Francisco, she blends precision and creativity to craft elegant small plates and shareables. Beyond the kitchen, she spent 14 years teaching culinary arts to special needs students, sharing the joy of community through food. Her compassion and vision make her the heart of 54South, where every dish connects people through flavor and story with "Much Foodie Gratitude".

FOH & Bar Manager & Mixologist
With over eight years of fine dining experience, our Bar Manager has honed her craft alongside some of the region’s most respected mixologists. Guided by a mentor with over three decades in the industry, she brings deep knowledge of spirits and a passion for creating original cocktails. Her repertoire includes forgotten gems of the Prohibition era—classics like the Bee’s Knees, Sidecar, Boulevardier, Last Word, and French 75—revived with precision and flair. A proud supporter of local breweries, she looks forward to curating distinctive craft beers and a thoughtful wine selection, offering pairings that elevate every dish on the menu.
